JAG Page Review

The "JAG Asylum" is an ever improving site on the way up in the JAG community.  It has the various different wings at the Asylum.  The main ones are the F-14 Wing for Harm, the SEAL Wing for Admiral Chegwidden, the Top Secret Wing for our secretive spy, and various other wing for current and former stars/guest stars on the show.  They even have a Shippers Wing for all the Harm/Mac shippers out there.  The Asylum also sports a Asylum's Diet and Exercise Program along with a special wing for the fashionably challenged; aka Fasion at the Asylum.

The Semper Fi Wing dedicated to Major MacKenzie is a wonderful place to visit.  The Asylum staff have created a test for all of us who think we may be suffering with the addiction to Mac with guidelines to treat the addiction.  I and I assume lots more of you out there don't want to be saved either.

I have been to the Asylum often and hope you decide to venture there as well. It is a nice place to visit.  I, however, am probably not the only one who needs to be on a roaming pass from wing to wing.  I happen to visit the Semper Fi Wing, SEAL Wing, and the Honorable Mention - The Nameless (PO Tiner).  Have fun during you stay and hope to see you there...

Woman in Green

Review of Ringing True from People Magazine dated 2/8/99

One of the worst fears in show business is to get a bad review or article.  I have to admit I was a little worried about this article when I first heard about it.  I am always the pessimist.  I do have to admit though that after reading the article, I am very impressed.  It was probably one of the best articles I have read on an actress so far.

The authors of the article, Michael A. Lipton and Irene Zutell in Los Angeles, pained our favorite actress in a positive light.  Neal Preston did a great job capturing Catherine's best side in his photographs.

There was not a lot of revelations in the article for us but there were a few tidbits of information we didn't know, well at least I didn't know, and I would like to share them with you.  The article is a from the beginning type of article.  It told of her first commercial for Baskin Robbins at 7 years of age.  It is apparent that the authors of this article either watch the show or just took someone's point of view of the show.  It is a Harm/Mac shipper type of article.  They compare Harm/Mac with Mulder/Scully on the X-Files.  To most this might seem like a bad analogy.  I may not be a Harm/Mac shipper but I still think it is a good comparison.  It should be an honor to be compared to a cult tv show.

We also get more background on Adam and Catherine's relationship and how it started.  They met while working on Death Becomes Her in the end of 1991/ beginning of 1992.  Their first date was May 8, 1992 and were married two years later to the day.

We all know that Catherine is a thrill addict.  She says in the article that she wishes she had more time to do those thing but due to time constraints with filming she usually just spends time with her husband and her two Italian Greyhounds, Zoe and Leo.

This is a definite read for those who are a fan of Catherine's.  If you haven't read it, go out and get it....

(I would like to thank Yankee Rose for her help with this article.)

Send us your thoughts about the new episodes and we'll print your comments in the next issue of the newsletter.  Here's how it works: After each episode, write down your comments about it.  You can talk about the acting, directing, writing, theme, legal aspects, bloopers, action scenes, relationships, shippiness, believability, or any other element of the show that appeals to you. The sky's the limit as long as it pertains to the episode itself. You do not need to include a plot summary as most readers will have already seen the episodes.

Along with your review, please include two grades (on a scale of A to F with "+" and "-" allowed) for the show. The first mark should be for the episode itself. How good was it? Did it entertain you? Was the case interesting? Etc. The second grade is for the "Macness" of the episode. Was she a major part of the show? How good was her role in it? Did

she have some excellent scenes? How good of a showcase was it for her character? For example, you might choose to give a really good episode an A, but if Mac played only a small part in that show, you might only give it a C on the Macness scale. Each review should also include the title of the episode and your name.
